 Birth of Philippe’s Chocolate
Philippe’s Chocolate was incubated on the beautiful Waihehe Island. Surrounded by blue sea and inspired by his Buddhist chanting, Philippe conceived his unique truffle recipes one by one. With his passion and great desire to offer Aucklanders the best taste, Philippe combines exquisite French chocolates and the finest local and imported ingredients in chocolate making. Excitingly there are now two locations where you can enjoy not just our finest chocolates, but also mouth-watering French pastries.
About the Chef
Philippe Ketfi, the pastry chef and chocolatier, is from Angers, France. At age 16, he realized his talent and passion for pastry. In the past 20 years, he worked for numerous top restaurants in France which imbued him with great knowledge and experience of food. He has also traveled to and worked in many different cities around the world such as Sydney, Melbourne, Portland and Tahiti. Finally he set his foot in Auckland, New Zealand where he started to crystallize his dream, that is, to have his own chocolate patisserie business.
